We are attemping to do something extraordinary in the home building industry. Every house that we build will be LEED certified at the platinum level. In fact, every house that any builder builds that uses the Aeonian Brick Home Building System will not only be LEED certified, but will also be certified by the NAHB National Green Building Program.
It's true, homes built with our brick has some pretty amazing properties. As an example, our homes are waterproof, termite and insect proof, fireproof, black mold and mildew proof and can withstand hurricane force winds that exceed 240 mph. A category 5 hurricane has winds that start at 155 mph, we've never had a hurricane hit the United States that had winds greater than 200 mph.
Now of course a standard wood truss roof couldn't withstand these kind of winds. What's the point of having this kind of house and the roof blows off? So, we install a concrete roof system that can withstand 300 mph winds!
We've developed a relationship with Jessco Homes, a builder in South Carolina that is using our brick to build a Zero Net Engergy House. They told us they couldn't find a better energy efficient, structural brick than the one that we produce.
We hired a consulting firm, Home Energy Group that is helping us lead the way in providing certified green homes.
Our bricks give a home a thermal mass of 45 and a R-Value of 21. No sheet rock, no wood and no fiberglas insulation is required. But, an Aeonian Brick Home will look just like any other home in the neighborhood.
I am excited and pleased to be a part of this history making company, as we change the way houses are built in the United States, one green home at a time. Come on the journey with us.

Green Question from Community
Q: I live in a modern house built in 1953. 50% of the exterior walls are glass or glass swinging or sliding doors. The house is on top of a hill in one of the windier parts of CT. I am looking to slow down air infiltration and make my windows more efficient (most are non coated double glazed). I am trying to figure out how to find the best replacement doors and windows and also how to find a contractor who can install them the way they are supposed to be installed. I would also like to find a firm that could do an air infusion test to show me how leaky the house is and where the worst spots are.
Thanks,
John
A: Hello John, Thanks for your question regarding new windows and doors. Before you start, it's a good idea to get an energy audit done on your home to find out where your home is losing energy. Some energy companies provide this for their customers, co...

Home is a lifetime
Home is a lifetime investment, thus homeowner always wanted to have an eco friendly environment and typhoon or earthquake resistance. Durability of the foundation matter in this kind of investment. Certified green homes is what we need to construct as a way to fight the threat of climate change, particularly global warming. Anyway have you heard that cap and dividend bill might work, but then again it might not. The idea, similar to cap and trade, is that permits for carbon emissions have to purchased by manufacturers and other industries, and that money will be diverted, 30% going to research for reducing global warming (hopefully) by reducing carbon emissions, and the rest will go straight back to the consumers in the form of a dividends check
